you know when you’re writing a story or something, and it’s not bad but you recognize that it’s a little self-indulgent and all the characters kinda sound alike, like they all sound a bit like you and they all have the same sense of humor? and if it’s something that you’re writing just for fun, that’s fine, but if you wanna show it to other people you have to go back and solve that problem? aaron sorkin is the guy who doesn’t go back to solve the problem.
