Following from anon’s post about Habit RPG, I thought it might help folk to see screencaps (this is the Android app) and a brief explanation of how I use it.
First cap is my Dailies: things you’d like to do every day. I’ve got most of then organised by “routines”. These are things I try to do at certain times of day.
Next two caps are my expanded Morning and Evening Routines, respectively. You can add checklists to anything you add, and I find that really helpful. You don’t have to check off everything in a checklist before you mark the task as complete, which is great for days when some things just aren’t possible.
Next we have examples of the “Habits” tab. Most of these are things I want to do either multiple times daily, or only once every few days.
And last we have the Rewards tab. I actually need to update this, but the idea is that you can reward yourself with things after earning gold by completing tasks.
I hope this is helpful to people out there who struggle with executive function and remembering to do things when they need doing. (Also I’d like to apologise in advance in case Tumblr screws with the formatting and posts this as a wall o’text. It only does it sometimes and I can’t work out how to stop it from doing that.)
