that bar scene with matt and foggy but matt dramatically kisses him before immediately saying goodbye forever
alright alright i got you guys
Foggy’s seen Matt torn to pieces and bleeding on his living room floor but this is worse, somehow; the rush of pure relief he felt at seeing Matt’s face again quickly receding after a stiff hug and the realization that it’s not the same face that he’s been missing. Something’s wrong with him, beyond the fact that he’s more beat up than usual, drastically needing, like, three shaves and clothes that don’t scream Hey, look at me, I’m trying to be inconspicuous.
Foggy doesn’t really have time to really think about it, though, because Matt’s doing what Matt does, blazing forward, telling Foggy that he’s going to take care of everything and not giving him an option and not listening to him.
Which–fuck that.
“Sit down,” he says, when Matt gets up to fade mysteriously into the night again or whatever the fuck his plan is, grabbing his arm.
Matt tenses up. Foggy wishes it didn’t make him flinch a little.
“Foggy,” Matt says, softly.
“Just stay, Matty,” Foggy says, not as firmly. His voice wavers.
He just wants his friend.
Matt stays still for a long moment before suddenly he’s leaning in and running fingers through Foggy’s hair, not enough time for Foggy’s brain to adjust before Matt’s kissing him–sweet and then a little desperate when Foggy pulls him down to kiss him back because–apparently this is happening.
Just as soon as it began, it’s over and Matt murmurs, “I can’t see you again after this. Don’t try to find me,” close to his mouth before he turns abruptly to leave.
“…wait, what?” Foggy asks, dazed, but Matt’s already walking out the door.
